'For The Lonely' was an exhibition at Pakenham Street Art Space in Fremantle from the 5 -19th of May, 2017. Curated by Elizabeth Bills and co-directed by Elizabeth Bills and Kate Shelton. Exhibiting artists Elizabeth Bills, Mark Wahlsten, Toni Lynn Avis, Erica Clarke, Lexalot Randolph, Jenna Le May-O'Connor, Carly Lynch and Jessica Harnold-Kenny.
'For The Lonely' recognised universal access, meaning that all installations were developed to be inclusive of those with varying abilities. The exhibition brought together a range of new works by Perth-based artists, who each collaborated with Elizabeth Bills, to create an installation that considered their reflections on loneliness. Each artwork had a tactile element, which was activated through a series of one-on-one performances between each artist and audience member.
My collaboration with Liz comprised of an audio-described and captioned video, an installation of crushed limestone, a carved limestone block and natural limestone rocks from the site. These elements made up our artwork 'Limestone Loneliness'.
